First Steps

The first step is to make contact and the best way to get in touch is via email or text.   Please do include a mobile number in an email so that I can let you know that I have replied to your email as they sometimes end up in spam.   I am happy to offer and arrange a time for a short phone call if you feel that would be helpful.   If not, we can proceed and arrange a time to meet for a first session.

The first/assessment session will be up to an hour long, as this gives us time to discuss what brings you to therapy and what you feel you need from our sessions.  It is a time for you and for me to explore how comfortable we are together, and if agreed, organise a suitable time for weekly counselling sessions.  

Counselling sessions are 50 minutes, and are usually scheduled for the same time and day each week.  I offer both short and long term therapy, and if we've agreed a certain number of sessions or have decided to meet on a long term basis, there are always opportunities to review this at any point.



Current fees are £60 per counselling session.

Payment is to be made before or just after our counselling session,

and can be made by bank transfer, cash or cheque.


Cancellations with less than 48 hour's notice will be charged at the full cost.
