Hi - thank you for looking at my website.
I am a qualified counsellor and hold a Diploma in Humanistic and Integrative Counselling from the Bath Centre for Psychotherapy and Counselling (BCPC). I am a member of both UKCP and BACP, and also BCPC and the Oxford Therapy Centre (OTS).
My counselling background encompasses training and working as a counsellor in a variety of settings. I have worked as a bereavement volunteer with Cruse Oxford and also volunteered for Victim Support - supporting victims of crime. I volunteered as a counsellor at a family centre in Swindon (Butterflies), and am now employed as a counsellor at a family counselling service in Newbury. In addition I also work in private practice, and work from therapy centres in Wantage, Witney and Oxford.
I have worked with a wide range of issues: depression, anxiety, low mood, relationship issues, bereavement (including suicide and drug related deaths), low self-esteem, abuse (sexual and domestic violence), work difficulties, illness and issues around caring. I also hold a Level 5 certificate in counselling children and young people, and see young people aged 13 and older.
In addition to working face to face I also offer online counselling on either, zoom, whatsapp, skype or phone.
I lived on the Isle of Man for close on six years and offer online counselling (via skype, zoom or phone) for those living on the island.
Prior to counselling I worked as a music teacher in both primary and secondary schools. I also teach privately.
